AWARDED NEW DEPLOYMENT FOR AERA(TM) IN HIGH DENSITY WIFI NETWORK
Edgewater Wireless Systems Inc. (YFI.V) has been selected to deploy its new Aera wireless access points and network controller to deliver Wi-Fi in a high-density public education institution in Belgium. This latest high density WiFi deployment was secured in partnership with Optima Networks , Edgewater Wireless's distributor and channel partner in the BENELUX region, and Vercruysse , a regional systems integration partner, which will deploy Edgewater's technology to the customer.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed for competitive reasons, however Edgewater Wireless expects the customer deployment to commence in May, with initial product revenue to be recognized beginning in the current quarter.

The deployment will leverage Edgewater Wireless AERA access points powered by WiFi3 technology. Access points integrated with WiFi3 enable concurrent transmit and receive of multiple channels on a single radio in both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands. WiFi3 technology delivers more capacity, supporting more devices on single wireless radio, and solves the challenges related to interference, capacity and sticky client devices.
